Malin Akerman will replace Lindsay Lohan in 'Inferno' "Watchmen" star to star in "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story" By Peter Dimako | Source: Variety | 11/22/2010 05:54AM Malin Akerman replaces Lindsay Lohan in 'Inferno' Since we posted an article on Friday concerning Matthew Wilder's dropping of Lindsey Lohan for his film "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story," we said that Monday, a new star would be announced. Malin Akerman will replace Lohan as confirmed by Wilder to Daily Variety as well as through a post to his Facebook page. "We are so honored to have Malin, and know that she will kill it," said Wilder. Chris Hanley of Muse Productions will produce "Inferno" alongside Jordan Gertner. Wilder helms from his own screenplay, the story based on 1980's "Ordeal: An Autobiography" written by Lovelace and Mike McGrady. Lovelace became world famous in 1972 after the massive success of "Deep Throat" but renounced her career in porn in "Ordeal" and alleged that it was forced upon her by her sadistic husband. Lovelace then joined with anti-porn feminists. In 2002, she died after a traffic accident.
