These photos were snapped by fans yesterday when SPRING BREAKERS stars Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson were preparing to board a flight at the Los Angeles International Airport. The stars were headed to St. Petersburg, Florida where SPRING BREAKERS is set to start shooting tomorrow. Here’s what we can tell you about the film’s plot: Brit, Candy, Cotty, and Faith have been best friends since grade school. They live together in a boring college dorm and are hungry for adventure. All they have to do is save enough money for spring break to get their shot at having some real fun. A serendipitous encounter with rapper “Alien” promises to provide the girls with all the thrill and excitement they could hope for. With the encouragement of their new friend, it soon becomes unclear how far the girls are willing to go to experience a spring break they will never forget. Follow us here, on Tumblr and @_SpringBreakers for updates. Plus check out stars Selena Gomez and Ashley Benzo’s Twitter feeds to find out what’s happening in Florida. And if you need to get closer to the stars, the Theatre Action Project is auctioning off a day on the set of SPRING BREAKERS (directed by Harmony Korine and also starring James Franco). If you win, you will be a featured extra and get VIP access to filming. For all things Spring Breakers, follow @SpringBrkrs on Twitter and Facebook.
Selena Gomez, who will star in Harmony Korine’s new film Spring Breakers, is having a big week in the press. She is on the cover of Cosmo and PEOPLE StyleWatch, her baby-faced boyfriend Justin Bieber reportedly may have proposed to her (or maybe he just gave her a sweet little ring for Valentine’s Day) and she announced on Facebook she will split with her backing band the Scene to focus on making movies. Her role in Spring Breakers will be a big departure from the kind of stuff that has made her millions of dollars and got her millions of fans on Twitter. But Gomez sounds happy to ‘soil things a bit’ (as PopCrush.com described it) by taking the role with Korine (who they described as a ‘subversive director’). She told Star Pulse: “I had to fight for that role because I flew to his house in Nashville and watched all his movies. I was like, ‘I want to be in your movie’ and he auditioned me for like an hour or two hours and it was awesome. Then I got the part so I am excited. It is something that is very dark and is very different and I am excited to be able to work with him. Of course he is the person that is going to create all of this and he is going to help me and James Franco, Vanessa [Hudgens], Emma [Roberts] and all those people. They are all going to be so great to work against and the script is [great]. People are going to be a little surprised.” And we’re are definitely excited to see her get a bit deviant on the set of Spring Breakers, which is currently shooting in St. Petersburg, Florida. On Oscar weekend, Los Angeles's eyes turn to honoring achievement in the past year of film. Jessica Alba, co-star of The Killer Inside Me, was honored not by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, but by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation. Alba beat out Cher, Liza Minnelli, Barbara Streisand, and newcomer Nicola Peltz. Alba had a busy 2010, appearing in Little Fockers, Valentine's Day, and Machete, as well as appearing as Joyce Lakeland in The Killer Inside Me. Her Razzie for Supporting Actress was for collectively all of those four roles. The Razzies are all in good fun, and any award is still an award. Congratulations to Ms. Alba. You can catch Alba's award-winning performance in The Killer Inside Me on DVD and blu-ray now.

Here at the office, we're going through our hard drives to find classic videos from Muse's History. Just today, we've already uploaded videos containing raw footage from The Killer Inside Me, an impromptu stand-up session featuring American History X director Tony Kaye as Osama Bin Laden, and a video chronicling a trip to Joshua Tree State Park.
